What this part is
The ink damper sits in the line between the ink supply and the printhead, smoothing the pressure pulses as ink is drawn toward the nozzles and trapping air bubbles and debris before they reach the head. Stable back-pressure and clean ink keep jetting consistent, so a tired damper is a common cause of banding and dropped nozzles.
This part is used on the Mimaki JV4 solvent series.
