What this part is
This motor drives the maintenance pump that provides the suction used during the printer's cleaning and ink-charging cycles. It is what lets a cleaning cycle draw ink through the caps and clear the nozzles; a weak or seized pump motor shows up as cleanings that no longer recover nozzles or a new head that will not prime.
This part is used on the Mimaki JV3 solvent sign-and-display series built around an on-demand piezo printhead.
