About this product
Ac400 is Mimaki's acid dye ink, the one to reach for when the fabric is an animal or synthetic protein fibre. It gives vivid, brilliant colour on wool, silk, leather and nylon — fibres that reactive and disperse dyes cannot serve properly — which makes it the ink behind scarves, ties, swimwear, activewear, lingerie and soft furnishing work.
Dye inks bond into the fibre rather than sitting on top of it, so the fabric keeps its hand and drape and the colour goes right through rather than crusting the surface. Supplied in 2 litre bags for continuous production.
Seven colours are stocked: the four process colours plus blue, red and light black. Blue and red widen the gamut for saturated brand and fashion colours, while light black smooths greyscale and neutral tones.
